Changing cluster. MPH / KMH discrepancy.

I was thinking about getting a SRT4 cluster for my car.

If I changed the cluster the odometer would read the mileage from the donor car?
Would the odometer be paused at the current mileage or would it continue working?
Is there anyway to change the odometers reading to match your car?

And I live in Canada, so our odometers are in kilometers... if I was to get a cluster from the states thats in miles, would my car record every kilometer driven as 1 mile on the odometer? :tardbang:

mileage stays in the cluster, so that would say whatever the srt has on it, when i put mine in, i just waited the 5000km difference between the two out, and then when i was at the same # as the srt-4 cluster, i installed it. You Do know you can get srt-4 clusters in Km/h right, cuz thats what i have, and i like it more then the mph.

An added bonus is that, the srt-4 cluster has an accurate temperature gauge, so if your driving it hard, you will see it move around, unlike the stock, "dummy" gauge. All it can do is tell you when your car is up to heat.

:withstupid: on the mileage thing, but there are more low mile SRT's than there are high mile ones.

both temp gauges are the same and work off the same sensor..... your stock one must have been a piece of crap, or your car changes temp more often now. when i did the cluster swap in my sxt, there was no change in the way it indicated temp.

Edit: the dealer can get the odometer changed, but they have to keep your car while it gets done. it took 2 weeks for them to get the actual mileage on my stock cluster when i traded my sxt in.
