SRT-D

I just dropped off my car at the stealership body shop to get some accident damage repaired. when i got to enterprise, what should i see with a little e sticker on it, but a black SRT-D. naturally, that's the car i got. what i'm wondering is, were all of them automatics? this car has almost the exact mileage as my srt lol, i'm thinking about buying it from enterprise to use as a DD. I think my girlfriend's brother can get a hookup on price, since he's a manager.
i'm surprised i actually like the auto trans in this thing. the car is in pretty bad shape considering the mileage, but could probably be repaired for cheap. the 2 main problems are the MFS seems to have a problem, as you really have to pull the knob out to get the fogs to turn on, and if you floor it, it acts like a stick with a shot clutch, rpm's jump to redline before it downshifts.

All enterprise cars, or atleast the large majority of them are automatics.
There were SRT-d's with manuals. The SRT-d was just an appearance package. It had nothing to do with the transmission.

All car rental places have only automatics. Here anyways. I like the SRT-D front.

Mistake me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure a lot car rental places in Europe have cars with manual transmissions. I would think there would be a few manuals here too, but Europe is a completely different story as far as transmissions.

that's cause most american's are too lazy to use a standard transmission.

Yeah, it's true. I miss all the sticks in cars over there; autos are so boring. To get a license, in Belgium at least, you had to know how to drive one and take the drive test with one.

it costs about $80 a week extra to have an auto in the UK

How?
Very curious about this.

how? because that is what the rental companies charge. automatics are almost never seen there. it also costs about $16 a day more to add a second driver. just got back from a trip over there.

Yeah, I think I heard once that 70% of the cars are diesel in Europe. Or something pretty high like that.

don't flame me for this, but... turbo diesel neon? Dodge Neon TDI?

how about turbo bio-fuel (vege oil)
Edit: oh yeah, the SRT-D would get an srt turbo setup lol. i just like the auto trans.

A diesel neon size car would be great. 150hp and 200ft-lbs of torque would be rediculously easy.

I have a SRT-D with a MTX. The SRT-D body package is what the R/T should have been starting in 2003, only it needs the magnum engine too.
Back in 04 I did a SRT front end conversion to my 03 R/T because I disliked the Caravan nose that was on my Neon. I like my SRT-D
and it gets 35MPG which isn't bad with $3.00+ gas.

The SRT-D package was an option on the SXT . It had the SRT spoiler, SRT type nose, & a non-functioning SRT scoop. chargerse
