Actually,

:beatstick: for selling a Daytona IROC R/T for ANY car! You know how damned rare it is? And how FAST? You should at least know the latter.

OMG I would die. I would just die.

There were a lot less Daytona IROC R/T's. And they were also only produced for two years.

The Daytona was a great car but I wanted a more reliable modern performance car. I could have kept it as a DD but needed the money at the time.. Ohh well life goes on stop flamming me,hahaha.

He has a point there... the IROC R/T used the Turbo III engine w/ the Lotus-produced DOHC head. It had some problems, nothing an owner who's willing can't get around, but for someone who wants to drive it like he stole it, but not work on it like he married it (hah I think that's my new quote), it's not the car to have.

And while the exterior and interior both were updated a final time for a much more modern look, the SRT-4 outclasses it inside and out.

But as far as uniqueness, both visually and mechanically, and especially in terms of collectability, it has the SRT-4 beat, hands down.

And I'd still kick you in the manprivates, as was suggested :P Seriously, man I would have traded a testicle in for one of those at one point.

OK guys here goes. The 2nd generation Neon ran from 2000 to2005 (06 maybe in limited numbers) with 4 different noses and 2 taillight designs. First nose:02-01, second nose:02 only, third nose: 03-05/06?, and the 03-05 SRT-4. Taillights- 00-02 first design, 03-05/06? the final smaller design. chargerse

There was never any model year 2006 Dodge Neons, not in any amount. And technically the export tails are of the same shape as 00-02 just a slightly different colour scheme, reflector design and usability.

Front Bumpers 00, 01-02, 03-05, 05 SRT-d, 03-05 SRT-4

Rear Bumpers 00-02, 03-05, 03-05 SRT-4, 00-02 Export

Taillights 00-02, 03-05, 00-02 Export

Correct me if I'm wrong, I think I'm missing something in the 01-02 years

How many 2006's were made?

...and what would be the chances of them ever bringing back the neon/srt like say..the charger/challenger/other cars that were brought back.

Missing 01/02 R/T.

And as I said previous, there are no 2006 VIN PL bodied cars.

Slim to none but I think that it would be in Chrysler's best interests to do a "nostalgia" rebirth of the 1GN Neon as opposed to the POC that Daimler negotiated to be built by the Communists in China.

You don't have a SRT. You have a 00 Neon with a SRT swap. :P

That Daytona IROC is dope.

Daytona IROC = run--of-the-mill 2.5L SOHC turbo, non-intercooled.

Daytona IROC R/T = 224hp DOHC turbocharged monster.

I found a Daytona IROC once for an amazing price and I had enough money, couldn't believe it, until I discovered that without the "R/T", it's just the standard turbo engine lol. I was crushed! heh

I don't think a "nostalgia" Neon could be produced. The reason I say this is because with only two generations, the 2GN '00 looks pretty much like a 1GN but more "modern". generally speaking, nostalgia rebirths mean there had to be lots of generations of visual change, i.e. a '67 camaro looks nothing like a '00 camaro, so the new one in its rebirth will look "nostalgic".

There has to be significant contrast visually over the course of a number of generations for "nostalgia" to be visually apparent in styling I think.
