I just saw it while driving back to my house from work. At a stop light the RPM goes down to 300-400ish is that bad?!?
p.s. it is atx 2000 ES
LOW RPM?!
yeah the idle is about 300-400ish but it don't feel it like it is going to stall it runs fine but just I don't know that much about cars and I think you guys know more than me thats why I ask youAdionik wrote:300-400?
I idle at stop lights at roughly 500...is that what you mean?
p.s. I have another problem. I believe it is the air intake, because a week ago when I turn the heater/cooling I hear this hissing noise, what do you think it is the problem? It drives me crazy!

Damn, usually vacuum leaks cause high idle. Not saying that it can't happen. Another cause of hissing may be refrigerant in the expansion valve if the defroster is on. But I've never noticed it personally. Does anyone know offhand where the small vacuum line goes thruogh the firewall? If you disconnect it and plug the souce connection, you could troubleshoot if (HVAC controls) it is the source of the hiss.

Probably shouldn't listen to anything your penis says, that guy's a dick.
Too much time spent here is a sign of a bad case of Ownaneonvirus.Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.

I will check the HVAC controls cause I already disconnected the souce connection twice but anyways ... I will write back if I can't fix it. THANKS!occasional demons wrote:Damn, usually vacuum leaks cause high idle. Not saying that it can't happen. Another cause of hissing may be refrigerant in the expansion valve if the defroster is on.
