300-400?

I idle at stop lights at roughly 500...is that what you mean?

Well, does it feel like your motor is stumbling and might stall? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it.

yeah the idle is about 300-400ish but it don't feel it like it is going to stall it runs fine but just I don't know that much about cars and I think you guys know more than me thats why I ask you :P

p.s. I have another problem. I believe it is the air intake, because a week ago when I turn the heater/cooling I hear this hissing noise, what do you think it is the problem? It drives me crazy!

that could be why the idle drops as well .. check vac lines and such mine did that when the line that goes to the brake booster came disconnected ...

Damn, usually vacuum leaks cause high idle. Not saying that it can't happen. Another cause of hissing may be refrigerant in the expansion valve if the defroster is on. But I've never noticed it personally. Does anyone know offhand where the small vacuum line goes thruogh the firewall? If you disconnect it and plug the souce connection, you could troubleshoot if (HVAC controls) it is the source of the hiss.

I will check the HVAC controls cause I already disconnected the souce connection twice but anyways ... I will write back if I can't fix it. THANKS!
