195/65/15 snow tires in the front, and equivalent size tires in the rear...
I don't know about you, but with my R/T, I have ABS and traction control, and utilizing them both I am able to drive perfectly in 4"'s of snow without a problem. Granted I'm not racing the car either!

Plus all the usual stuff: fliud levels, good wipers, full tank of gas, shovel, tow strap, blanket for you and to place on the tow strap if needed. Incase one end comes loose (prevents the strap from flying through the air) food, water. If you have an ATX don't spin the tires for too long if stuck. will overheat trans. it will fail. Put in N or P and let it cool for a while then attempt again. I'm sure there's more....

If you're going to a much higher elevation, and staying there, reset your ECU one you get there. I'm an advocate of making the ECU use good fuel trims, and it will take the ECU a long time to figure that out unless you reset it.

A couple bags of salt in a sealed container. Extra weight and can be used if stuck.

Check your brakes....new brake pads are like 30 bucks for the expensive kind?

Isn't that why the ECU does a quick baro check before startup, to see what the local pressure is and adjust accordingly. It will adjust running afr's on the fly in closed loop. No need to be resetting the ecu.

Like others have said, just give the engine a quick once over before you head up. Make sure you have enough meat on the brakes as well, don't want to get half way down the mountain and find out you have no brakes. If you have a stick, use 4th or even 3rd when going down a the grade to help control your speed.

Dude!!! Just be smooth and slow, don't make any quick moves and you should be fine. Make sure that your oil levels are good, windshield washer fluid is full (you'll need it). Try and keep you gas level full. Oh! pack some blankets and water just in case shit hits the fan. Otherwise, just be calm and have your whits about you and you shouldn't have a problem.

Keep Distance Between Other Drivers! Just read the weather, and drive according. Honestly, if you just give yourself that extra car length or two, you will have just that much more time to stop in the case that you have to punch the brakes!
