The best plan is to wait until you have a job. The neon is a dependable, economical car.

On the plus side my car is paid for, it has low miles, is rust free and runs good so I guess that's something to look at.
I've been eyeballing the Xenon front bumper covers, I think they look pretty decent, maybe one of those and some new struts and spring to lower the car a bit would help it look more like I want it to look. Also a set of 215x50x15's would make it stick better too, I'm sure they'd fit on the 15x6" rims especially with the new struts and springs(probably get em' for the SRT-4 so I'll have extra room) then I'd like a set of SRT-4 pedals to dress up the interior.
Larger anti-sway bars and upper strut supports, both front and rear, and the car should really handle well.

?You know what the difference between me and you really is? You look out there and see a horde of evil, brain eating zombies. I look out there and see a target rich environment.?

What about autocross? Or *gasp* back roads?Wenuden wrote:I considered road course weekends with the srt, but that gets expensive with travel, an insane suspension setup, not to mention a couple friends time for a pit crew. The drag strip is going to be just fun enough, I think.
The rubber compound has a lot more to do with it than the footprint, and if youre gonna stiffen up the swaybars, you're going to transfer a bit more of that turning roll to the tires now... so a slightly lower profile will help against the extra sidewall flex that you'll see (which means pick up some cheap 16's or 17's like used SRT's or whatever), and a better compound will help it from slipping.TN.Frank wrote:Also a set of 215x50x15's would make it stick better too, I'm sure they'd fit on the 15x6" rims especially with the new struts and springs(probably get em' for the SRT-4 so I'll have extra room) then I'd like a set of SRT-4 pedals to dress up the interior.

I don't think I'll do swaybars until I get some really good tires. I'd rather have a little sway than slide. But that's just me.
