I was wondering when I get a dodge neon what should I put on it besides a performance muffler and cold air intake. What else like computer chips or reprogram the car and what is a 60mm TB I see a lot of cars have them. How would you reprogram the car b/c I know with with car being stock programed it limits speed and horsepower I was just wondering. Thanks :) sorry for a lot of ?s in one topic.

turbo is the last thing you would want to put in your car first.

modern has a good guide on building up 2000 and up neons

Yeah Speed, I totally agree with this post. Most of the time it's up to your finances and personal preference. But www.modernperformance. Does have a great guide for both 1st and 2nd gen neons. And if you want, I can show you the whole Throttle body thing if we meet up in town sometime. I may be getting a 60mm soon.

BUT on a seperate topic, I would stay away from all the ebay "get fast quick" chip scams...most of those things do nothing OR more harm than good. Stay on the true engine mods for speed & Performance.

Cam shafts
Headers
Cat Backs
Air Intake's

etc.

Anyhow hope this helps some, and hopefully you will get some other good suggestions.

not to sound like a prick, but cars and cheap do not belong in the same topic.

If you want power you need money. $1000 into bolt ons you can have a somewhat quick neon. If you really want major power look into spending easy over 5g's. The sky is the limit though.

I do agree with the posts above about modern performance. follow their guide and you will be happy with your neon. If you want the best gain for the money I'd recommend you take a look at the HRC or chill factory kits.

does it include the magnum starter? (just for those interestd, it is required due to the shape/size of the manifold)

Thats odd... Kernel installed his Mag intake /w window switch on his 2.0 and he never mentioned anything like that.. Our starters are way down there, the Mag intake is that big..

Just looked at "Rice Zone" thay have the same starter listed for both cars.... Non Mag and Mag..

You only need the Magnum starter if you are putting it on a 1gn. If your car is a 2gn then it is a non-issue.

Thanks for clearing that up Kernel... Didn't know about the 1gn problem...
