Lorenzo racing thankfully made an ODP...good build from the looks of it. He modeled it after a 1st gen alternator though.

BTW I have an ATX and I get a super low 500 idle at almost ever stop light and when I come to a stop.

Will a UDP really fuck up my system? Make it stall, etc?

nope, but you do need to make a small hole in your throttle plate, so you car stops that. Mine used to do this with the stock tb.. drilled a really really small hole, and went for a drive, decided to make it slightly bigger since it still dropped down more then i wanted.. in the end the hole is less then 1/8 of an inch, and i haven't seen the revs drop past 750 or so, in over 2 years..

I have a 60mm TB. I'm somewhat hesitant to do it. Isn't there an idle screw I can mess with? BTW do you know if the alternator is the same?

yea i can see not wanting to put a hole in a 200+ dollar throttle body, lol.. try turning the idle screw up just a tiny bit at a time, and then go for a lap of the block, see how it idles, slowly but surely it should fix the problem, if it starts to pulse the revs a bit and then suddenly drop when you let off, its open too much and you need to close it back down a little...
About the alternator, im fairly sure you can use the pulley from a 1gn, but i'd like someone to back me up there.. since im not 100%

Yes, the pulley will fit. Alternators are 99% identical. There were some connector changes in 95/96/97+ but the alternator itself is the same.

Agreed.
Actually, I *think* that only the '95-96's (and maybe some earlier '97's) are different. '98-99 should be exactly the same as far as connectors go.

it seems that they HAVE TO be the same. they're listed in both the 1gn ang 2gn sections on his site

EDIT: i'm ordering one on wednesday to go with the MPx UDP i'm ordering wednesday
