Remember the clutch kit doesnt have the 4 flexplate bolts.
You are suppoused to change the bolts when you change the clutch, i fried mine and installed the PT clutch using the same bolts and trust me i abuse the car 10 times more than you will and i have no problems.

all what seals? the tranny seals? you just wore out your clutch, you didnt do any actual damage to anything, i cant see needing to replace any seals...

um, i think that all pt cruisers are 2.4l unless you're getting parts for the export pt's.

i am not entirely sure whether the gt has a different trans than the std pt cruiser. the gt motor is supposedly the same as the srt4 only detuned. i am not claiming to be an expert so i may be wrong, but the srt clutch is totally different than the std neon. likewise i would assume (you know what that does) that the pt gt is similar. regardless i am fairly certain that the pt cruiser in the usa is universally a 2.4l. regardless of whether it is a gt or not. hope that helps. this was probably one of those times where i should have kept my mouse pointer away from the post reply to begin with.

detuned to 220 hp? and the PT Crusier has the SOHC 2.0L while the GT has the DOHC 2.4L Turbo.

yes. the GT doesn't have the same output as the SRT-4 because it is technically a different engine setup.
linkinevo wrote:and the PT Crusier has the SOHC 2.0L...
wrong.
ALL US PT cruiser engines have a displacement of 2.4 liters, and two cams.
also, to end the debate. the PT cruiser GT has a different transmission, and as such a different clutch from all other pt cruisers and neons (exception: srt-4).
