Ok...I went to a performance shop and asked the guy i have stock foglights
as you can see and the bulb says 9145 on the back for a #, he told me that i couldnt upgrade bulbs to the xenon or cool blue bulbs because it would fry the wiring or just kill the bulb very quickly. Im still confused on why this is but something about the watts, anyways wondering who has these lights and what # i can look for to pick a set up. PM me or post, thanks

9005 will fit... sorta... you have to trim the tabs on the bulb to make them fit.
Reason they could fry your wiring is because 9005 is a higher wattage which the wiring isn't designed for. When you have more power going through the wires than it was designed for things get hot and could get too hot and fry something.
Plus... the bulbs also get hotter. When I had 9145 bulbs in my fogs I hit a puddle where water was flug up onto the lens of my fog lamp, because of the high heat and the water cooling it so fast the glass shattered and I had to replace the foglamp which is close to $100.
Right now I do have 9005 bulbs in my fog lamps but hardly ever actual turn my fog lamps on. I have some cheap ass eBay bulbs in them and they aren't any brighter (which yes they won't be) and the color actually looks worse than the typical halogen 9145 bulbs.

You know I have a 2000, and have some aftermarket bulbs in there right now. In fact I have had them in there for a couple years now!! I don't remember off hand the number I am useing, but I did'nt have to modify anything. I will try and get under there tomorrow and check it out. If not for you, now just cause I'm curious.
Might be 9005
