Just had the SRT Dynod

The best was 237whp 280lb/ft T

I was disapointed to say the least in the HP field...

The Air/Fuel is why... I was running Pic rich, not dangerously rich, but man we were up there...

The mixuture leaned the most when we took off the airbox, that was where the hp went to 237.

I suppose Mopar rather you run rich on there stg2 so you dont blow it up but I really expected better hp numbers.

I need to lean it out some, I'm considering an Intake now after seeing such a jump in whp with the airbox off, and now more then ever I can see im gonna need a better exhaust system. Aside from engine managment, what else can you guys think of to hopfully cure some of this richness?

Thx

Unless you put in an SAFC or DTEC or something of the like it will always run rich. Even after you put in an intake or Exhaust the ECU will relearn the fuel curves and run rich.

Every single one of my dyno sheets says the same thing. An A/F ratio in the 9 to 1 range.

SAFC are nice with your 2 bar sensor. You can do all sorts of things with them.

More boost off ECU control.

^ Then you run into issues

ECU controlled Boost is the only way to roll.

Which car did you dyno? your swap or the Stage2?

Why? I'm running the wastegate straight off the turbo, and not having any problems with ptb, boost creep, or anything else (that I can tell, a scangauge will tell me more when I get one).

What issues do I have to look forward to?

Edit: I coulda swore they advertised stage 2 at 260hp on a stock motor. Or maybe that was with a mopar exhaust.

ask Stephen about his issues with off ecu controlled boost.

http://forum.2gn.org/viewtopic.php?t=23 ... sc&start=0

I've heard more horror stories than good ones about doing it. I'd much rather allow my ECU to control the boost and make adjustments to the Fuel Maps based on Weather changes and etc. I trust Mopar more than I trust myself or some diagram on the internet.

myeh I've got a wideband, running 11.3:1 afr at wot all the way to redline spiking 18, holding 16. I also don't ptb, and I'd expect the map sensor would be able to tell the computer to do what it needs to do to save the motor if it detects too much boost and can't make it drop.

Tip line being the only thing connected to the solinoid pack ftmfw.

/threadjack.

Crash, get some sort of fuel tuning device, pull some fuel and watch those numbers rise.

Do you have the ability to post the dyno graph? I'd like to see the afr's across the rev range.

Yeah, the computer is smart and protects the motor. Since you have a wideband thats good. Just keep an eye on it.

I have had only bad luck with my lines re-routed. Horrible PTB and the driveability sucked ass. You were really on it or you weren't at all. It is easier to tune. I have had bad lick with my Stage 2 WGA hooked up like stock so far.

Crashteam, do a boost leak test. Throw in some new plugs gapped around .035 (higher if anything) Maybe some new wires too.

Damn, and my S0 swap pulled 241/264 with a CAI and Cutout...

^Thats what bothers me Jason

They Do advertise 260whp 280trq with them mentioning they have a catback...You know how they advertise that they tuned stg2 to have more pops and crackles in the exhaust, well too do that they would have had to rich it up some.

I don't have any boost leaks as far as I can tell, pending on the outdoor temp Ill spike anywhere from 16 to 20 psi and taper down to 14-15 by redline.

I do need to swap in the colder plugs, im sure the car is still running its factory plugs, but I already did swap over my msd coilpack and wires from the swap and get it the stock parts.

Since my Torque was right on track though I wonder if the guy had the dyno calbarated right, this was a small little backwoods shop that does mostly v8 rwds but he seemed to know what he was doing....

Ill post up on srtforums later and see what the flamthrowers over there say about it, right now I gotta get back to the hospital, My gf and I had a baby Boy the other day, ill have pics and a write up in the off topic when i get more time!

It was a Dynojet right, not a Mustang Dyno?

LOL most of the extra hp was the cutout. Did you see Oklamopar's dyno day vid? Dyno proven 17hp from the cutout on a big turbo car. And that was probably with some heat soak on the 2nd or 3rd run.

Gratz on the critter  And good luck on your mixture problem...wish I could help more with advice

Put down 234whp with 248ft.lbs stock

Grats on the Kiddo!!!!

If it were a mustang dyno your numbers would be slightly lower.... i think 17% off.... can't remember off the top of my head.

the 18hp was on stock motor/turbo.
50 trim hit 355.

LOL, you guys are too much sometimes. Here I'm putting down maybe 110whp with the mods I have on my SXT and you're not happy with over 230whp. Ya'll don't know how good you've got it. I be happy as a clam if I had even 200whp. :slap:

My black car does 132whp  lol

I'm happy with the (probably) over 260hp I'm putting to the streets. What I won't be happy with is low 13's. And since its a dd, stripping the interior and chopping out parts of the frame isn't an option, therefore I gotta get MORE POWA!

Thanks for the advice though guys

Hey Hey
I thought the srt came off the showroom floor at 234HP but that was a low number and with a few bolts on you be at 300HP

BTW, i just looked on MPx at the stage two. and if you look at the dyno graph, it says it's measured at the CRANK. so with a 10-15% power loss from the crank to the wheels, figure that up and i'd say you're about right on with your power

237whp is less than 10 more than stock, and only 30 more torque. Mopars crank numbers are typically what you can expect at the wheels on these cars. They rate conservatively to help us on insurance.
