Can anyone post any pictures of the designated jack points on the 2GN Neons? I looked in the manual and can't find a 'correct' place. Thanks.

pinch weld, under the doors. Ive also used a floor jack and a peice of wood or a rubber pad on the rear cross member where the lateral links attach. There is no front jack point on 2nd gens.

i was told that the skid plate for the oil pan will work and possibly the k-member.

dont jack up the engine if youre trying to jack up the car, youre gonna break a mount doing that

They work if your car is high enough and your jack is low enough. But for those of us with lowered cars, that aint gunna happen. heh.

i got a jack that fits under my skirts, but im still weary of jacking my car up and seeing it only on 2 wheels (stupid eibachs) i still cant roll up on my rhino ramps yet (gotta get some wood)
the normal floorjack point, is almost directly under where the front door hinge is at, if you look under the car youll see it, theres a square flat portion with a hole in the middle

The ONLY true jack points is on the pinch welds right behind your front wheels and right infront of your rear wheels. Your owners manual should show where to jack the car from.
I highly suggest you don't jack your car up from the oil pan or using any part of the engine.

I thought the pinch welds were a good place myself, but I noticed yesterday jacking up the car, that part of the metal on the pinch welds actually bent and a small piece of paint peeled off.

I discovered that under the spare tire cover is a diagram of what the jack points should like like (between some two tabs or something somewhere) but couldn't find what they were indicating. I ended up using the pinch weld anyways - I'll have to get some touchup paint and cover that bare metal... BTW, I'd NEVER jack my car up using any part of the engine. That's just asking for trouble.
Thanks for the replies, though!

why can't someone figure out how to retrofit one of those formula one style air jack systems...
just imagine, to change to oil or wheels, just reach under the bumper and snap one your air line.... ahhh!....
Back to reality... probably too much weight, money, and modding to get it to work...
Has any one noticed that on most late model cars of the past 5yrs or so they are not engineering good jack points in.... smell conspiracy...they are trying to force us all into buying expensive lifts or paying a shop to do the work...
man i need some sleep.

I'm with ya' 100%. But in all honesty, I'm surprised they still make cars today that are serviceable by the vehicle owners. Getting a little harder, obviously, but it's still possible... For now.

Most people call AAA (or similar), when they get a flat and/or they do not do thier own work on thier cars. Its just another part of our "Lazy" society were living in these days. Soon, all you will be doing is putting gas (or some other type fuel) in your cars and nothing else.
