I guess it's possible, but you would need a right hand drive donor car to do it. The easiest way is to just swap the entire front clip from a euro neon. Then you would need the entire euro interior dash assembly. It would be cheaper to import a euro neon. If you have hardcore fabrication skills, you could probably do it but you would still need a whole lot of euro parts to get it done.

In the end, selling your car and importing one would be easiest and cheaper.

You would need to make it pass the EPA standards for the year of the car. I don't know how European emissions work.

Nope, no more Neons... anywhere.

I think it'd be a lot cheaper and easier just to buy a Neon overseas and import it into the states. A lot would need to changed over like the firewall, dash, power steering, brake system, the list goes on and on....

It isn't as hard as it seems to learn to shift left handed. I have heard from a couple folks that have gone to Japan and had to do it. Haven't tried it myself however.

And yes, the Neon lasted 1 more year in Mexico, but was killed after '06 :(
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

For sales in the US, the 2nd gens were built here, but Mexico continued building them for their market.

So wait... are the pedals in the same order, or are they backwards too?

its all the same order, pedals, gears... steering wheel... Even the turn signals and wipers and cruise are same... only thing different is what side you sit on and what hand you shift with. Honestly, this has been discussed before, including myself podering it... bottom line, you woul dhave to import a wrecked one to swap everything over, or import a non-wrecked one and drive it. UK Neons are very close in emissions to US Neons, even VIN's work here in the US... this is why so many euro cars are imported from the UK into the US.

This does not belong in this sections either... why would you pick drivetrain when talking about swapping to RHD??????

Prolly the hardest part converting would be obtaining, and installing the firewall/cowl area, and I would think the steering rack. Plus the afore mentioned items...

I'd get one in a heartbeat. I can't drive stick (long story) but a BUX Neon R/T or even SRT-4 would be badass for me! RHD in the US FTW:rockon:

Great for delivering mail! The only drawback I can think of, would be seeing around all those slower cars to pass them.

Its kool at first but try passing someone on a passing yellow and see how far you get when you cant see oncoming traffic, or pay a toll, or go through a drive through or anything else that requires to be on the left side. lol.
