The sticky doesn't have that code on here and I don't have my haynes manual handy. Anyone know what it is?
Thanks

Nevermind! found it!

"P0139- o2 sensor circuit slow response
bank 1 sensor 2". NOW, does that mean it's not reading the
downstream O2 sensor??? I have the AF/X-R ECU; it doesn't/Shouldn't read the downstream o2... or is my upstream O2 toast?!

Bank one just means set # 1, in V motors they have two banks, one for the left, one for the right. Sensor two is your downstream. Something is messed up with the AF/X I'd say.

Dude, I
PRAY not...

Either way there's no downstream O2 in there now. I
could install one and see if the problem gets fixed... or not.

You could try clearing it and see if it comes back, could be a fluke. My '01 SE had a code for low speed radiator fan. Hard to get a CEL for something that wasn't even installed on a base Neon, but it happened. I reset the PCM and it never came back.

True, I'll do that tonight or this weekend, plus I realized that I gapped the plugs too wide (0.65) so I'll need to adjust those too since the car's been starting rough or needs a few times to get started once the motor's warmed up...

Does the AF/X simulate a downstream o2 sensor? I don't get how the factory PCM wouldn't throw a cel if it didn't. The AF/X is a piggy back right?

It is a modified OEM PCM by Howell I do believe. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong

Welcome back, bro. Long time no see.
My stage 1 ecu eliminates the downstream o2 sensor, but it will still throw a code if its not attached to the wiring harness. Is yours there, just hanging, or did you completely remove it? If its completely removed, did you just install the computer, or have you had it in for a while and the code just came on?

I have the defowler mod, O/2 sensor is in a spark plug defowler, so its only patially in the exhaust stream

As far as me, I've had it off for almost a year now with no codes; we did that when I had the Kirk installed. No downstream O2 hooked up, with the O2 bung closed up with one of those O2 block thingies. The harness IS just "hanging" there freely though.

well, there went my idea. Did you try reseting the ecu yet?

No, I'm still at work (split shift job FTL

) so tonight I'll reset the ECU and fix the spark plug gaps.
