sanding

will one of those basic sanders from lowes work with sanding some interior peices? its like 12000 circles per minute or whatever.. for like 50 bucks

Do it by hand. You get a better feel for wat your doin. Are you going to be painting parts?

well i already have a little black and decker mouse sander and it sucks... doesnt work at all..

yea i dnt have faith in those. is there a Harbor Freight Tools in your area?? if so check them out. they have good but affordable tools

just curious why better by hand? isnt a sander do the same thing just faster? im not trying to be smart. just want to understand.

By hand... Sure it will take longer but you can get more of the lil details out of the way. thats how i see it. I wana hear someone elses point though

Also it's pretty easy to screw up a part by using a electric sander. Say the piece or an area starts to heat up and deform, how will you know? It'll be hard to tell because you're feeling it through the vibrating sander. Also you can normally get a smoother finish by hand

think of it this way...........you stand a chance of burning it and having spots that are lower with the power tools with plastic!

ok heres the deak.. i tried sanding by hand last night.. not gonna happen.. ill be buying a sander today.

no im not in a hurry at all.. but i have to sand with 80 grit to get the texture out.. then after that i will sand by hand.. its just the intitial get the texture out part that would take forever..

you a random orbital sander, I've been using them for years with wood and other materials.
