hello friends, I have a question, just a few months ago hahaha mi a/c stopped working and history says:

first were blown fuses not all the time only when EM-clutch engaged and in some times it worked a few more times with every new fuse

then almost all the time blowing fuses but noticed that de em-clutch was having like problems like making to much effort so i guess thats why it blowed the fuses and then it stopped working fuses fine em-clutch didn´t even tried to start and i forgot about my a/c ´till today that rained
so fellows what do you think..

A little note i took it with the electrician and i noticed that he found the fault pretty fast first he checked the pulley and clutch etc and then he told me that it might be de green plastic stuff oabove the aluminum cilinder i don´t know what is that
any suggestion?

thanx again??

You saying the compressor isn't turning? If so, it could be locked up or the clutch could be bad or just not engaging.

Check for chafed wires. It alsmost sounds like a short to ground or cross short. Those will usually blow fuses.

Also chck for a reddish colored powder on and around the compressor. If this is present, your clutch is likely slipping or completely worn off.

There should be an electical connector visible behind the compressor clutch. Back-trace this harness, inspecting it as you go. You make find chafed or broken wires. I don't have any pics but the harness shouldn't be too hard to find.

Well cables checked...not visible shortcut fuse still blowing but after a long time of fan dial in on position (ac side) and long time, the fuse box relay still working it feels, the radiator fan kicks in as normal when ac on so everything works only not engaging the clutch and blowing fuse this are the biggest symptoms

thanx again

So it is the fuse #22 in the PDC that is blowing? It could be the A/C clutch coil shorting internally.
