Lose the fart can. It's killing your torque.

Weight reduction helps us ATX'ers, though I'm not sure how far you'd be comfortable going to actually go faster. Things like sound deadening, stereo's, those sweet rims you have (17" or 18" rims kill the gear ratios, making us slower UNLESS you have a turbo or a healthy shot of nitrous), leather seats, etc., all contribute to weight which is the enemy of speed. I actually sold my SRT rims that I loved + got compliments on left + right and installed a set of 15" Rota lightweight rims. I can honestly say performance-wise, I don't regret doing it. There are of course mods you can do motor-wise like the standard intake/header/exhaust combo, UDP's, etc. Those all depend on what your goals are for your car. If you look at all I've done to my car, it's still slow off the line since all the mods I have contribute to top end power delivery, but again, past 3500 RPM's the car's fun as hell! Hope my small insight helps you... :D

Make sure it is running well as it is. Make sure your basic maintenance is all up to date.

Next item would be weight reduction. With that there are tradeoffs in terms of reduced comfort and serviceability of the vehicle.

You will gain more speed with narrower tires but the tradeoff there will be handling and appearance.

Wind resistance... take your stock antenna off and keep your windows rolled up. Want to go a little extreme? Remove the passenger side rear view mirror. LOL

+1 on the tire/wheel stuff....

I had stock 14" steelies on mine and used to like the torq-y quickness off the line... I only went up 2 inches, to 16's, on new rims...granted they may be heavier, but do have a NOTICABLE difference in acceleration now

What about a forged lightweight 17" wheel + tire combo? those are larger so the weight is on the outside of the wheel; however, they only weigh the same amount as a 14" wheel.

Don't do shit, trust me it's not worth it. Your car looks good cosmetically, just leave it at that. I wish I had left it bone stock and saved my cash
