I just really love neons, just I don't know a whole lot and i was wondering if you all can explain to me? Thanks

Explain what to you? Why the stud broke?

Well if thats the case it is called rust, but the actual name is iron oxide. This occurs when the iron molecules (Fe+) come into contact with the air molecules (O2) or water molecules (H20). Either a redox reaction(Iron-Air) occurs, or an acid-base reaction (Iron-Water)occurs. With these reactions the iron will weaken when the reactions continually create iron oxide. There is a quick rundown in why your stud may have broke.

The other reason why your stud may have broken is because of over torquing, but this is a totally different story.

i think he means explain all the acronyms and car stuff to him.. dude, welcome to the site, i think there is a post with a list of acronyms, as far as explaining everything to you, your just gonna have to read.. read read and more reading.. i dont know how many times ive walked away from the computer with this boards image burned into my eyes from reading countless pages of info... any thing you want to know specifically, use the search function, it works really well if you know how to use it...

Search for Keywords:
You can use AND to define words which must be in the results, OR to define words which may be in the result and NOT to define words which should not be in the result. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches

so search for whatver you want, and put "and" or "or" in between your ketwords...

PIAA is actually a brand name, but the sticky for acronyms is in this board right above were all the stickies are.

AAAAAHHHH!!!! Inter-species mingling! :runaway: J/K!

Nothing wrong with that tho!

I actually have injectors with the Ford logo in my Cherokee, and had/will have a Ford TB on the Neon.

Thanks for the link. Info is info we're not proud!

I post neon stuff on that escort board and vice versa. Most terms don't change from vehicle to vehicle.

And it rarely matters if it'sford or dodge parts. Most of them are all made by the same company and just throw a certain OEM's logo and part number on there. Those ford injectors are just Bosch units, IIRC the skinny buggers in our 2gn's are Siemens, used in quite a bit of other vehicles as well. A lot of stuff is interchangable if you know where to look
