Are they color coded by the way they perform? I ordered the Street from Howell a while back and got the red ones... charged for the street. Nowhere on the box did it say street or race. they felt VERY VERY stiff out of the box... like a hard plastic. Installed them and the ride was harsh and my motor went into surround sound mode, especialy when the AC was on. Everybody i talked to said they have the race and they were the red ones. One guy had the black ones that were street...

So did i get the wrong ones? I ended up selling them to a friend because i didnt like the ride. But i do want to re-order IF those were the race ones. Any ideas?

i was told the color means nothing, but my race inserts are red and are almost hard plastic, where as the street is a bit flexible

my streets are black...barely any vibrations untill the AC kicks in, then the steering wheel shakes.

Had the black ones and they were definately a different durometer plastic/urethane. Had the red ones and they were MUCH more robust. Had the Deyeme and sold them to my lil' bro. They were pretty stiff to. I like the Prothane red, just gotta' put em' back on the car.
