Hello all, this is my first post...

I have a 2000 plymouth neon, 5 spd....

it was in an accident a year ago... http://dodgeforum.com/forum/showthread. ... dent+today

basically, i bought a 2000 dodge neon 5 speed the other day, it neeeded a water pump, and the driver side doors are pretty smashed in....i got it cheep, and i am planning on swapping the front end parts from the dodge over to the plymouth....

i am just curious as to any particular tricks or things i should know about when disassembling and reassembling the front end...

ill be changing over, most likely, the bumper cover, bumper, headlights, radiator, radiator mount, radiator fan, hood, and hood latch.....fenders, i am pretty sure are fine....
also, are there any mods i could do easier while the front is off? maybe cai, or something....

thanks!

Edit

i also ordered a haynes manual, which i think will be helpful with some stuff....

with the haynes you should be ok. The radiator can be a pain just because a.c. Lines. With the bumper off there really is not much to do. A CAI would be easier with it off but doesn't really matter. Or an intercooler. Haha but that would require a turbo.

cai = waste of money on a neon unless you need space in the engine bay for something. K&n filter and call it a day.

ya, i kinda figured it may not be worth the money, an thats why i already just have a k&n...and as for the intercooler requiring a turbo, but i think that a turbo requires some other motor work...

so with the haynes it shouldnt be too horrendus?

Remove the resonator while you have the front end off. It's the plastic box that is attached to the airbox behind the bumper cover.
