SRT Exhaust

I just picked up a SRT exhaust. My question is, Where does it mount up to my existing SXT exhaust. Is there someplace that the two match up that I can bolt mine onto the SRT or do i need to fab up a splice from my cat forward to the SRT exhaust?

not understanding you, but the srt cat-bak is a direct swap and that includes the hangers for it.. only thing is you might have to take in in a shop to have a 2.25 piece welded to take and bolt the mid section.

SRT-4 Should have the cat in the same place, but there will be a different downpipe I would assume...

after the cat there is a clamp, unbolt it pull out your current exhaust,
then take srt exhaust. srt exhaust is 2 pieces mid pipe and twisty pipe in back. bolt it all together and go make some noise.
easy money
i did this on mine in the dark took me about 15 min.

ya. but if you want to tone down the pipes toss a 31 glasspack on the stock mid pipe. sounds sweet too.

i know i could go with that but you have to replace it like every year i guess. and the magnaflow doesnt need to be replaced.. plus it has a nice chrome finish to it.. it looks pretty..

well i just heard that durring time it blows out the fiber glass in it so thats why it need to be replaced.. you might have a point.. have you taken a look inside the resonatore to make sure its still packed with fiber glass...if its not and it still sound the same then it makes sense to by one cuz there is not difference..

did you guys keep the stock resonator on the midpipe or cut it out?

actually the mid section has 2 resontatores and yes i still kept those thinking that they could help keet the noise level down.. i was wrong.. so off to buy a 36" resonatore i go...

i bought one but ended up only using the tip section and welding a glasspack halfway down the stock piping... i bought the biggest one that would actually fit (really not that big at all) and i'm very pleased. it's a tad loud but nothing annoying or raspy

Just put it on last night. I think that it is LOUDER than the fartcan i was running before it. But you can't beat that deep sound it makes.

SRT setup has been posted before....
There is no improvement on a Non-magnum or a Magnum, the SRT system is just to loud to be legal on a non SRT.....

I can. How big's the video? Catch me on AOL Instant Messenger and you can send it to me that way and I'll host it, if you'd like.

'red03sxt' is my screenname in case you're too lazy to click on my AIM under my post. :)
