Wiper fluid reservoir delete

Post by excon » Mon Sep 08, 2008 4:17 pm

I've looked in the haynes manual and there are no instructions on how to remove the winshield wiper fluid reservoir...

I've had a carbon fiber hood for about a year now, and I don't have holes drilled in my hood, so I want to take it out.

it takes like 10 minutes to pull the bumper. 25 minutes for the whole job.

Actually if you remove the bottom air dam, which is usually missing anyways, and remove the fender liner, it can be wiggled out. It ain't pretty but it can be done. The Body shop scewed mine up , and I didn't feel like removing the Kaminari bumper cover, I don't think there is any more room in there than a standard fascia.

I know the SRT's are diferent, but yours is an SXT so it is up to you. Those are the first steps of removing the fascia anyways, so if you can't snake it out, may as well finish the job. At least remove the bolts holding the fascia to the fender, it may give you some more room. Or just pull the pump out and drain it. Or go with nozzles in the wipers.

actually there is, if you jack up the passenger side of the car, take out the inside black wheel well thing and i think the pass headlight you can get to all the bolts and it will come out with a little convincing

if u need a step by step i am going to be doing it this weekend.. again

Yeah, the hardest part was remembering how the f*ck I got it out, to put it back! Kind of like sex sometimes, just because it came out don't mean it's goin' back in.

They make nozzles for the wipers? For future reference, where can I get some of those?

From non-Neon cars. The mid ninties B series vans had them, but you will need the tubing and connectors as well, plus prolly need to drill a hole in the cowl cover to get the tubes through. I'm sure there are other cars, Mopar or not that have them, most GM's do I think.
