Tranny swap question
I got a real good deal on a low mileage 3.94 tranny from a DOHC first gen. What parts do I need if anything to swap it into my '04 SXT. Thanks

biggest thing is make sure you get the pedal assembly and shifter from a 2000 neon, since your doin cable and not hydraulic.. 1st gen pedals wont work, as posted in the links.... i was pricing/searching parts for this swap as well, then the second link, someone posted 2001+ neons are hydrualic,
someone correct me if the other poster, or me is wrong....

Thanks for the info man. Im wondering since i'm already 5-speed if i need the pedal assymbly still or what. This is confusing. I wonder how much the local tranny shop would charge to do all this? Thanks tho!

talking to my buddy spoo from floridaneons.org
he wrote the first post i linked you to, he says all you need to do is use the tranny your putting in, but swap the bellhousing from your existing tranny to make it hydrualic... so you wont have to mess with the pedals and all that crap... my bad, i thought at first you were swapping atx-mtx...
