You could always switch over to silicon vacuum hoses, they are much more durable. Are your hoses deteriorating or something?

Find out what sizes the stock hoses are that you're replacing, then get the approprite size. :D

if you get this done. take pics to let us know how they came out. also the braided are usually just sleeves that go over the stock hoses.

Personally, I'd stick with the cheap rubber hoses, but the silicon ones are so much prettier. Both end up being the same price in the end, so the silicon is really the better deal.

Then covering your engine bay in 5lbs of useless stainless wire might not be the best idea. Home Depot plumbing section has metal hose wrap(think wire loom)

You would never make it with late '70's/early '80"s emmisions. There were miles of hoses going everywhere. Today's engine bays are relatively clean in that respect.

Mine isn't either...but having a shitload of cables running everywhere in the engine bay doesn't allow you to work easily and honestly...a bunch of steel hoses to dress up vac lines...chopsticks anyone? :tardbang:

Stainless braided lines are just a typical rubber hose with an extra exterior braid. Below the sheath/exterior braiding the hose is identical to standard rubber hose. With some hoses the exterior braiding does help improve strenth (like goodridge brakelines for example), but a lot of times it's all just there for show.

How to fix your car:
1. Buy a Haynes manual
2. Read Haynes maual
3. Read and search appropriate threads, trust us, it's been covered before
4. Fix car
5. Consume beer of job well done

I thought Goodridge brake hoses were teflon?
