Throwing codes affecting performance??
Throwing codes affecting performance??
This may seem like a novice question but here it goes. I removed my catalytic converter when I put on my header and exhaust. Now my computer is throwing codes (1684, 0420. Catalytic converter faliure and battery code). My question is, is this affecting the performance of my car at all? It seems as if I have less low end torque, I'm not sure if this has to do with the back pressure or if it may be caused by the codes that I'm throwing. Any input would be great.

1684 is nothing so dont worry aobut it. NOt running a cat hurt my performance from what i experienced. one of the guys in NOH raced me and we both had the same mods and on the top end he was a lot faster than me only difference was i had a header and no cat and he was stock header and cat.

Well most exhaust mods will make you loose low-end and give you top-end.
