Toyo AR1 or Advan A032R

Well i run Tarmac Rallys, my class isnt allowed to use slicks so i cant buy special rally tires so im thinking about D.O.T. tires, i have 14" steelies so the options were victoracers, a032 or AR1.

I want them to last long and perform decent in water, so the victoracers where out, now im left with the Advan A032R or the Toyo AR1.

Its VERY important that they resist impact, because these rallys conditions are rough, sometimes there are bumps or holes, or times where you have to put a tire in a "ditch" to help you cornering and stuff like that, so i need tires that can take abuse.

And there are things i like about both tires for example:

Advan A032R - they have a hard compound option wich id choose since i want them to last, its also a versatile tire that doesnt really need to be changed before and after the event, but the disadvantage is that the biggest tire for a 14" is 195, if i want a 225 id have to go with 15" steelies.


Toyo AR1 - They are available in 225 r14, but someone told me they have soft sidewall wich would be bad if i want them to resist impacts.




Anyway... the question is, what would you suggest me, anyone has used these competition tires?

Mine is a daily driver bro. R compound is outta' the budget. (I commute 150+ miles a day, R compound tires wouldn't last 24 hrs!)

Well i think ill go for the Advans, the sweet thing about the Toyo was the 225 r14 tire, but since ill probably in a near future put some big brakes in the neon the 14" wont fit anymore so if i buy 14 tires now i will have to wait till i wear them out to put the brakes.

I dont have the $ to buy cool 15"s now so ill probably just buy 15" steelies, buy 15 Advans and when i have the money for good wheels i will have space for the brakes i want
