I have been. I've already got a couple people looking out for me. One at my mom's old work at AB. Her old boss has been looking into it. Once something comes up he'll be calling me up. full time benefits and union. I'm looking foward to that. I've also done apps and everything else to like 10 places. I called a few people back and everything. I've been hunting and hunting and hunting. I'm just waiting on me second son to be born which should be pretty damn soon. My girl was already technically in the early stages of labor.

Yeah me too. I own a house and have a good amount saved in an ira so someday when my monthly pension payments stop in 9 years i should be able to pay off my house in full. even if i can't i'll still have a good job in the auto industry and my girl will be working at a salon somewhere.

lol thats true. just have to buy the part and install for free. thats why i think you should just save your money for a turbo kit,

just get the cam, IM, and head first. then save.

maybe do your crazy suspension and stuff, maybe some looks. then turbo.

oh yeah turbo is absolutely last. slowly build it up then BLAM BOOST. Gotta build a good platform then add the major power.

if you want it done that way, time will just expand. im not too sure how well your patience holds up but your gonna be itching for it to be done.

I wish you were local so I could give you a ride in my car, but once you ride in a turbo car your priorities and perspective change. Kind of like how I thought I was content being in the maxed out stock turbo range and now i'm going for 500 :rofl:

well i wanna beef up the trans to handle more power. My ultimate goal would be to be in the 500 range as well.

Good luck with the build. Oh and if you do decide not to go the turbo route, I have an 02 R/T pcm. Not sure if it can be flashed though. SRT's you can flash I know for sure but not sure about the 00-02's.

I will definitely be going the turbo route now. After looking at anthony's review of his asp turbo and how great erick is I can't go wrong with that. Turbo all the way.

I would go with a Magnum head and skip the porting and polishing (or do it on that head), I think if it were me I would go 8.8 to 1 pistons if you are going for 500HP. Who makes those titanium valves you are after? I think that's a huge waste of money personally. And really are you going to use this as a daily driver with 500HP? Seems a little unrealistic to me. Personally I am thinking of a lot of the same mods you are but going to opposite way with the body and interior, keep it ugly and strip it out to lose weight... I love whipping people with a POS looking car!! :rockon:

Well i'm still taking suggestions. even if i could get it to 300 i'd be happy with that. Is lower compression better for boost? I think i read that somewhere. Also i am going with the magnum head and i will get that p&p'd. I've seen some just can't remember the name. Either that or some magnum ones. I'm just looking to get something that's got some more power and is fun to drive.

Yes, lower compression is what you need for a turbo set up. That way when you turn up the boost (and you will) you don't blow up the motor.
