HP increase?

Post by CrashTeam » Wed Oct 05, 2005 9:58 am

Alright I need a best guess at the wheel horesepower increase from the following additions to my mod list.

Light Port/polish with 3 angle Valve job and port matching
OBX header/downpipe
Magnum Intake Manifold
62mm Throttle Body
Comp200 Cam

I found a local machine shop with a good reputation that does 4cylinder heads for around 250 bucks :) So I figured aww heck I have glose to a grand sitting in the bank lets do this! Once its all in there is another local guy offering 3 dyno pulls for $50 bucks+a/f reading.

Any guesses on my wheel HP? Im running a AEM intake and a fairly open exhuast.

Once you have ported and polished a head I really would call it stock anymore ;)

if ur gonna do a head p&p i'd and do the mag intake/header, i'd save up a little more and get a mag head..

From what iv'e heard a mag head flows more than a p&p'd stock head. :P

Mag head = 250-300
Mag Cam/Springs = 120

So another 400 bucks or so, and u're good to go. :)

Well I already have the comp 200, its a bit better then the mag cam, And I already ordered an obx with the downpipe, (Got it cheap)
I dont know though, I think a p&p stock head would out do the mag head, sure a p&p mag head would be even better in the end, I simply dont have the money or patience to wait and find and buy a used mag head. I rather just pull mine off and have it done as soon as i can.
