Getting back into the Neon Game
Getting back into the Neon Game
Just thought I would update. I'm going to look at an 04 srt-4 this weekend. I sold my R/t to my dad so when my little brother gets his full license he can have a sweet car to drive. Now I miss it like crazy so I'm going to by the srt. As long as it passes my inspection I will take it !!

There is def a white acr in belleville. I was talking to my buddy today and his gurl is friends with the guy. As for the ms3, its fast but its not the car for me. I'm selling the speed. Its a beautiful car but the clutch sucks, the 6spd is more of a pain than anything and mods are expensive and you can only do so much before it blows up. I know 6 guys new and old that popped motors. Buddy of mine in Kingston had 70,000km and had a custom tune and exaust and intake blew it to peices. another guy in Toronto had 1200km stock sitting at a stop light and spun a bearing. So with all that said Back to dodge for me i've always wanted an srt-4 and i loved my neon, so thats what I'm getting

I thought the clutch in the MS3 was very good. (I actually liked the clutch better in the ms3 than my EVO) The 6 speed was great on the autocross and on the highway. I had almost 100 autocross runs on the car and didn't have a single issue. But I probably take better car of my cars than most people take care of their kids. Issues with motors blowing up aren't usually because of bad design. The MZR 2.3 Motor is an amazing engine. The issue is with most motor issues in the MS3 is that people are running more power than the motor was designed for, and since Mazda didn't over design the engine they have issues. Plus Direct Injection is limited and you MUST do fuel modifications.nabster33 wrote:As for the ms3, its fast but its not the car for me. I'm selling the speed. I loved my MS3 and for every story about someone blowing up a motor there are a 100+ people who aren't having issues.
There are days that I just start day dreaming about launching the MS3 at the track and throwing it hard into the first corner. I could push the MS3 hard on the track and it loved it.

^ i have to agree with Travis on that. If you take a Kia sonata and you take good care of that engine it will give you no problem's.
I was almost about to buy a ms3 and did alot of hours on forums and google and indeed it's a very strong engine.
Same with an srt4 you over boost the engine on stock internal's and it will blow.

I def take good care of my cars, but it was just a comfort thing. I don't disagree Mox the car belonged on the track, but for everyday driving I just miss my old neon and we are thinking about buying a house so its a huge difference in cost to get rid of a 30k debt for a 8000k debt lol.
Oh and my bad the white srt is in trenton, sorry about that
