Does Lowering a Car make it more aerodynamic?

I"m wondering if I drop my car, will it be more aerodynamic? Right now i've got the SRT springs on my car..will lower springs reduce my wind resistance?

Thanks!

uh i dont think so, lowering helps with looks and handling. but are you even going fast enough to have to factor in aero? =P

yeah there'll be less drag and more importantly less turbulence underneath your car causing LIFT... however expect to be in the 100mph zone before you notice clear differences

i'm working on some flat pannel underbody kits for our cars for when you start getting close

it should. in theory i should have very little lift. my car sits about 1.5 inches off the floor at the front, compared to the usual 5.5 or so. ive had mine up to ~155 before. felt stable as a rock and got their pretty quick (plenty of motor mods)

wow, 155? nice! :)

I've got an ATX, so i dunno if i'll be able to get that high, but it's nice to know none the less.

lets not get overconfident though, the car is a pig... my stripped 96 used to lift off above 110 before i put on an airdam and stiffened the suspension

wind would flow better over the top of the car, but they you have to worry about having the proper alingment, otherwise, the gains that you get would be fought against wheel resistance...
