And going back to Lilsparkplugs picture of the perferated hood on the first page, a buddy in my local car club actually has one on his SRT.

Now that's oldschool. IIRC, that one has a polycarbonate hood.

I'm happy with the final design that DCX used (like on my car) but I still like this prototype since it has the '00-'02 style headlights and turn signals.

Yeah, I dunno about the hood overlap where the turnsignals are, though.

um, i'm seeing a lack of being the prototype hood here.... look at the turn signal area, the shape of the fog light area, the "vents" on the prototype, and the prototype seems to lean out a lot like the new dodge pickups.

my vote is SRT-D with an SRT lip on it somehow

Nope, that was one of the first prototype bumpers. The tweaked the design a few times before they came up with a final one. Once the 03 front end hit that was when you saw the style like the one that the SRT has now.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Nah, not lately. I just threw it on real quick and snapped some pictures. Now it has a grill and foglights, but it's too nasty out to take pictures.

Here is the pic (although small) of the 03 style prototype...

Image

In the first pic of his bumper in this thread I had my doubts too, but thinking back to his original post about picking this up, I will confirm it is the real deal

I'm pretty certain that it's the original prototype. He's typically pretty legit with his stuff.

The front bumper he has is 1 of 250 made. I contacted Chrysler about this one also and they had no clue as usual. Now if someone could get there hands on the 02 style SRT bumper, that would be cool

Chrysler supposedly has 5 race/rally cars with them on it. Looks like another company, DCH motorsports has one as well. I have one. One of the SRT people has one on his rally car (may or may not be owned by Dodge), and Howell has one. So possibly at least 9 are accounted for.

The inside of my bumper says #2-263, so where are the other 254 of them? Or did you find out more info and figure out there were only 250 total made? Then what happened about the other 13 that were supposed to be made? And what happened to the other 241 if there were only 250?

Also, see if you can contact anyone in the SRT team, as they seemed to have everything to do with it. The guy I bought mine from works for SRT, and they said the parts were just lying around his building, about to get thrown out right before they moved. Methinks, if SRT was in a different building, they might have done all their own stuff, or at least kept the parent company out of the loop.

’03-’04 R/T wheels could be considered rare with around 3,000ish cars coming with them from the factory.

Any Magnum engine parts could be considered somewhat rare with 10,000ish cars coming with them from the factory.

Well, there was supposedly 5,000ish 2001 and 2002 R/T’s that came with them, but they were also an optional wheel for non-R/T’s at the same time. So there’s likely a few more then 5,000ish. I'd say they're somewhat rare.
