Yeah, I think I've made up my mind and have decided to shave the antenna. Fuck it, I work in a body shop doing that sort of thing. I might as well.

Is it just me or did DCX Photoshop the Neons (and the SRT-4) in the 2004 Neon catalog? I noticed that none of the cars pictured in the brochure have antennaes and I thought that perhaps RHD fenders were used? :-k

Yep. RHD Neons have the antennae on the left fender.

Chrysler did photoshop out the antennas. They have been doing that for years on all of their cars. Before the advent of photoshop, they would leave the antenna masts off for photos. The mast looks too unsightly for promotional material

Carsten, why doesn't your SRT have the antenna on the right side?

It is on the right side. (Left=Drivers side, Right =Passengers side)

Now that is assuming LHD. Since the SRT was never offered in RHD, all SRTs would have the antenna on the right side (passenger).

I saw his car, now he has lips on the fender wells also that seem to cover the lower lip where they meet...

This one is flush seems it can be mounted just as it is.. without the need of the wheel flares...

I wonder what its worth today?

did you pick it up from cl? i was trying to convince my wife to let me get it

i had actually bought the same kit back in 05 from ebay, but the skirts were identical. i didn't get a left and right side and ended up selling the front and rear lips along with the fender flares... i think i still have the sides, but not sure :)

Back when I got it it was going to go on my car but then I found the Mopar kit and installed that instead.

But now Im thinking of installing this as its more rare... but so is the Mopar kit too!...

None the less fit and finish is perfect on this bad boy.

The lip kit you have there is designed for your sytle bumpers, whereas the Mopar lip kits are designed for the 03+ style. And the Mopar lip kits are still available FWIW.

To sum it up, put the lips that you have on

Thats one thing I cant decide, go with 03 Front end and complete Mopar lip or stick with the 02 and just install this lip kit...

Might have to put it to a vote somewhere else on the forum.

Either way one of them will get sold.

Yes the Opel Omega was imported in the states under the Cadillac Brand, with the name Catera...
IN the early years 1997 the car was modified with softer suspension and some bumper supports to meet the US crash standards.

Then as the years went on and complaints kept raining in the folks at Cadillac slowly put the car back to the way it was for the European customers, and in the last year which is what I have, the car was delivered with exactly 1:1 parts and settings as the European MV6 which was the sport model there.

Aside from different radio, rear tail lights and badging you cant tell them apart from any of the European cars.

If all goes well this summer I plan to replace the last bit which is the trunk lid and complete the Irmscher body kit part of which is already on the car.

Problem is repairs were very expensive, parts were rare and the car earned a bad name thus sales sucked and production ended with 2001...
Same car was re-skinned with same power-train and sold as the CTS which is the Catera Touring Sedan.... Than branding followed through the company in 2003-2004..

None the less its still a great RWD sedan for a very affordable price.

don't think so
switch fits only right door - for any total stupid reason they offered that nice feature only for RHD Neons.

Gnuserup got such mirrors and switch - and said it is like impossible to get that switch into the left armrest (with a nice look).

Really? I thought that the switch was universal, not just for the right door. So adjustable headlamps weren't offered on cars on the continent, just the ones in the UK?

Do US spec mirrors at least have the motor built in to fold? Or are those nearly impossible to find?
