I have a vibrant front strut bar, and its not a type v, its solid aluminum, adjustable, and has no markings or logos. does anyone know what model this is, or does anyone have the same one? when i bought it it said type-v, but showed a pic of the one i got. at the time i didnt know the diff. i realized it wasnt a type v and instantly thought it was suspicious. it came in a vibrant box and looked totally legit, and it works great. just curious what the deal is. thanks guys

If i remember right, they are the exact same bar that comes on ebay for $20 (ish) shipped.

I pulled mine off as i dont beleive it helped out enough for me to care. I will, however, be getting a DC sports rear bar hopefully soon enough ;)

hey bro i didnt know u were on both sites. i was sent here from the other .org cuz i was getting fed up with all the buttheads on that site, and it was going nowhere.

as far as the strut bar, i paid 35$ for it, shipped, and like i said it came in a vibrant box and everything seemed legit. i cant remember the website i got it from though. crap. anyways what do u thinks goin on? is it just a vibrant model thats NOT the type v maybe? it works ok for me so far. im also getting the dc sports rear bar. wish we could use the front one too. why doesnt it fit anyways? srts and neons are like identical except for the engine area and other minor stuff. arent the struts very similar, just diff springs?

I have the DC front bar on mine, The only issue I noticed is that the metal strips that hold the hood insulation up scratched it a bit so I cut them shorter with a dremel. it also touches the insulation but it doesn't bend the hood or anything...

i think you might have gotten ripped off. i bought a neuspeed filter or i thought i did. when i got the box it sd neuspeed on it and it had a pic of the filter with logos on it. and when i took it out it looked simple with no logos. so yup i got tax in the wallet. i basically paid for the brand name box.

Slightly O/T, but won't the strut tower bars from the SRT (front and back) fit on at least 03+ Neons, if not 00+?? The guy at my local dealership claims that the "Mopar" strut tower bar for the SRT's WILL fit on my 05 Neon...anyone?

The aluminum strut bar you see advertised as the Vibrant is the same as the aluminum strut bar you see on ebay. I imagine they are actually made in a factory in china somewhere. Strut bars made for the neon will not fit the srt-4 without modification. It needs to be grinded flat on two sides per bracket to fit. There is also hood clearance issues with the cooling ducts of the srt-4 hood. Strut bars for an srt-4 should fit a regular neon, the bolt patterns are the same. The rear strut bars for the srt-4 and neon are the same. The front and rear top strut bolt patterns are different from eachother. You Can use a front strut bar for the rear if you drill the rear bolt pattern into the front strut bar bracket. I ordered a Vibrant front strut bar from modernperformance for $60 something. Then later I bought an Ebay strut bar for $15 to modify it for my rear. Both bars turned out to be identical. Hope this clears things up.

so the bar i bought is a vibrant? my bar is solid with no holes, and is oval shaped. ive heard about the ebay one and most people say its the same one. i hate companies that advertise things that arent real. but whats the deal with the vibrant box it came in? just a big scam? at least i didnt get ripped off, it was 25$ shipped, so im not too angry. still sad that so many frauds get away with this crap, i just read an article in modified mag about this garb too.

I didn't say it was a Vibrant, just said it's sold as, or by them and ebay sellers. This is all from what I believe and have seen, so "don't quote me boy, 'cause I ain't said shit." And this bar does actually clear my srt-4 hood, just barely from what I can tell. But it touches and probably rubs on the rubber seal under the back of the hood, in front of the cowl under the windshieldwipers. I removed that rubber strip anyway for more airflow.

i had rubbing on the rubber hose connectors that angled to the squirters, but i deleted the entire washer pump/resovoir/hoses, eliminating that prob. most importantly, i saved a few pounds too. its amazing how much fluid that thing had in it. i wonder if vibrant has a site i could go to and ask them straight up, and if it IS indeed a fake, im sure theyll like to know who's making and selling fake bars in copy vibrant boxes. i hate counterfeit s#!t!

Your just not getting it, there's only one manafacturer for these things. These companies don't make everything, it's not cost effective. They all at least partially order products wholesale and put there name on it. Or Vibrant makes all of them, and sells out as wholesale.

my question is this: is my strut bar made/sold/marketed by Vibrant, or is it a copy by some no name manufacturer without Vibrants permission? i understand what youre saying, but how do you know any of this as a fact?

Find a contact for Vibrant and ask them directly... I don't think anyone knows the answer for certian.
