How big is the stock tb? I know 1st gen it was 49mm for manual and 52mm for auto. I remember somebody telling me that 2nd gen are all the same size but I don;t remember what size.
Thanks

Yup. The outlet on the intake side is 60mm, the outlet on the manifold side is... i think ~52mm. The plate itself is 48.5mm (if i remember correctly).
60mm TB doesnt give much gain on a non magnum engine, but the feel of it is worth it IMO. There might be some gain, but my butt dyno surely couldnt really feel it.

I have a 2001 mag cam that I am going to install but that is about it. I don't plan on doing a P&P or messing with the intake manifold...
You say you don;t pick up much power but it is worth it for the feel? I want to feel more power...LOL What kind of "feel" are you talking about? Better throttle response?
thanks

as in, you normaly push 1/4-1/2 the way on the throttle to start normal daily acceloration... with the new TB in place, you push about 1/16 or less of the peddle to get the same amount. Its much touchier, but because of the stiffness differance, youll warm right up to it quickly (unless you are my wife, who cant seem to get it!)
Yeah, i guess you could say its worth it. Probably not brand new though... spend around $150 used. Just check the for sale boards here and the other .org 2-3 X a day at least. That the only way i even get any good deals on used parts (THE GO VERY QUICKLY!!!)
