ok so i have been debatin for over 3 months now on what i should do to my car since i got it, the only place where i can order all the good stuff is from modern so i hope i dont get burned at the border cuz i am in canada, so this is what i am thinkin i wanna know what you guys think and if its worth the money, and its for an 02 r/t
AEM mangum intake
thermal r/d exhaust
mpx 60mm TB
hurst SS with booger bushings
3 pillar guage pod(have the guages already)
vibrant front strut brace(already have the rear)
will i see any noticable gains with the first 3 or is this a waste of cash?

i believe Diablo is running those first 3... not too shure.
BRR has the mpx tb, and he said there was a very noticeable gain (with out the butterflies).

you should get an UDP...as for the Hurst Short Throw, for the same price you can get the Mopar one, thats what i use and i love it, its the same, except you get the full unit with the Mopar

Hey DJ, FREAKY avatar!
Anywho, i would re-arange that list a hair...
1 - CAI
2 - 60mm TB (used if possible to save a few bux)
3 - UDP
4 - MM inserts or filled inserts (can be put sooner due to low price)
5 - STS + Boogers
6 - P+P intake manifold
7 - P+P head
8 - Cam gear (while you have head off)
Thats just what i would do. If you want more than just power in a strait line...
1-5 the same (throw tires on with 4-5 if they suck right now)
6 - Hotchkis sways (or whatever)
7 - Lowering springs (your choice)
8 - Koni inserts (or whatever struts)
Other things to consider: Weight reduction (using Carbon fiber or whatever), grounding kit (done for $20 or less), LSD (if you got cash), N02, prothane bushings, 2.5" exhaust, cam, And a baked potato.

if you get the hurst sts DO NOT put in the gold guard plate, it raised the shift retant to high and you WILL NOT be able to put the car in 5th gear or reverse, i went through hell tryin to figure that shit out

Might as well not worry about a cam gear until you accually have a cam... Plus if you wait and do your head work, the shop will usually throw in the cam and gear for you for free since they have to re-asemble the head anyway

dont get the mopar STS..ive known so many people that have had problems with them mainly it makes shifting very hard.. if you want a STS that is not that hard to shift and reduces the throw by 41.5% go with Madddog or Mopure on the "other"..ive driven cars with both and the feel is close to stock..except for the throw reduced by half

dinetuner... the Mopar and Maddog are just about idtentical in design... Chuck (maddog) is just raising the pivot point more to decrease the throw even more.
Left Mopar.. Right Maddog 50%

I would say go with the maddog 50% STS though since it does have a shorter throw.
The list does look good.

i am stayin away from the udp cuz i been told it throws cel codes on the 02 r/ts, as for the sts, dj what do you mean with the mopar you get the full kit? what bout the b@m, the sts isnt that big of a deal to me at the moment it can wait

The Mopar is the full Shifter assembly (see pics above)... the B&M is just the shift lever that you must install into your stock assembly.

modern doesnt sell that do they? i wanna get all my parts from the same place just to try and get it all across the border in one shot

Yes they do...

If you but that you're also going to need to purchase the SRT-4 shift boot. Forget the SRT stock knob b/c it comes off easily so go strait to the aftermarket.

and that will fit on the r/t?

I got the Hurst STS to work...had to fiddle with it a bit as it didn't want to go in reverse initially. I also had trouble with the shift knob as the shift lever is pretty thick and I couldn't get all the set screws in and still screw up the bottom of the shift knob.

I purchased the Mopar STS, and absolutely love it. It has great firm, crisp throws, never miss a gear and it has a warranty. Also, it looks damn nice

and I got a discount cause my Dad works for DCx

Yeah, thats why the cam gear comes after P+P... just didnt put in new cam since i didnt know the direction of the install and the stock R/T cam isnt a bad way to go.

mines neevr come off, infact, i dont think i could get it off if i WANTED too. ive always heard they come flying off on hard 1-2 shifts. ive broken shifter cables with hard shifts, but never have i gotten that ball to even budge, nor come close to coming off.

I had a friend who said the same thing. Just out of the blue one day, at the drag strip, it happened. Since then, it happens more often.

Start knockin on wood!!!

Believe it or not, I got it from the Stealership

But, in the past when I have imported things, you are expected to pay approx. 6% for duties plus the taxes in your province.

so the prices on modern do not include taxes right, or that is the final price on the item? and when it comes across i will pay the 6% border and another %15 in taxes?

That would be correct....as far as I know.

damn thats expensive for us over here in ontario, its like addin 21%, plus the %16 diff in in price, its like a %37 more for us, so my 1300 order comes to 1800, is there any places in canada we can get this from?

Some of the stuff can be ordered from your local parts shop, but alot of stuff modern sells is just for them. a good site to search for is Eastwood Chrysler, they stock alot of OEM and Aftermarket perf. parts at CDN prices, and they ship

do they got a site?
