150k mile check up

I bought my car used, and don't have the service manual for it. What are the recommended things to inspect/replace on my Neon at 150k miles? Over the last 12 months I've had to replace the steering belt, the front right drive axle, rear left hub, battery, and tires :beatstick:

I'm wondering what else I'm looking at replacing in the near future, because I just might buy my sister's 04 Corolla that has 118k miles but is in perfect shape and get rid of my Neon.

A belt, battery, and tires will last longer because they are in a toyota?

The hub, could last 10,000 miles or 300,000 you just never know. The same for the axle. I have 160,000 on all my original driveline parts, except the clutch.

But meh, I'll give you a few hundred for your neon. :D

Lol. I mentioned the battery and tires just b/c all of these things are all adding up right now. It just seems odd to have to replace all of these things within months of eachother.

How often should you change the timing belt? I think I had mine done at 110k, so it should be good for a while right?

If I do sell my Neon, I know a guy that would give me at least $2,500 for it. He likes my ACR a lot :D

At least to 215,000 miles. Excluding any tensioner pulleys/water pump failures

Yes, of course.

But only if that Toyota accelerates unintentionally and those items are spared during the crash.

:laughing3:
Seriously, there are wear and tear items that will eventually have to be replaced on any brand of car- these things aren't wearing out just because your car is a Neon.
