Post by 2003silverneonsxt » Tue Dec 06, 2005 9:21 am

i have a chance to get a set of 17 x 7.5 rims...

they have a 225/40/17 series tire on them

i know that the 7.5 is a little wide,,,so i wanted to make sure what i would need to do to make them fit on the neon peon...

do i just need a small spacer or do i need more then that?

i dont know the offset to them... and i will try to get a pic of them up in the next couple days

but i wanted to ask everyone where

and BTW i am lowered on 1st gen springs.. bout 2.25" drop!

Find out out the offset. You might be able to run 225s but if the offset is to much you could rub.

nope wont work, i had 225/40 R17s on my cavalier and wanted to switch the rims over, tires cleared the front struts, but the back do not. the highest you can run is a 215/45/R17 thats what i have on mine and only like 1/2inch from the strut.
