my friend's 2004 SX 2.0 is bugging him

he puts into gear and he is able to accelerate, but he says it stays at 2k RPM and doesn't go further. clutch is fine, tranny is fine..

any ideas what might be doing this?

Is the engine running ok? if it isn't it may not be able to make enough power to get past 2000 rpm. Any Codes/CEL?

add fiber to it's diet?

I bet you won't have a problem with it not wanting to acelerate under load anymore.
