somthing leaking

somthing leaking from the front drivers side of my car it looks as if its comming from the square box type thingy near the front drivers side wheel and by looking at the fluid i think its trans missinon fluid its an 02 auto neon is this a usal problem? and is it the transmisson or possibly somthing else?

What color is it? Red, Clear, Orange???

Red would be Tranny fluid or it could be power steering fluid since they used ATF+4 in some years for the power steering.
