AAAAHHHHHHH ... ok got that out for the moment. Driving the car yesterday I heard a slight high pitch noise. Only when between 10 - 20 vac. Lower then 10 vac. all the way thru boost it was gone. Thought is was a vac. leak somewhere. Drove it today and listened ... it got louder and I can hear it in the engine bay. Got home and popped the hood and man was it loud. Started feeling around lines and crap to see if I could find it ... well ... I found it ... blew out part if the intake gasket (or probably sucked it in) ... of all things. And to top it off ... C.A.P. doesn't have it in stock. W.T.F.
Now I guess Im driving the truck til I get a gasket.

Anyone recommend a decent gasket to get for our cars ?
If I have to wait for c.a.p. to get one ... I might as well wait a little longer and get a good one.
Fel-Pro and OBX are the only two I see on E-bay.
Also might as well end up doing belts too.

I've got that one on my race car. Its a very nice piece. Make sure you're very careful installing it, and watch your torque, there are very specific numbers you must achieve.

Not a problem here ... plenty of tourqe wrenches here.

Ok so I got it from MP yesterday and installed it.
Now my boost guage is running different. I was wondering if anyone knew if this was normal after installing this spacer / gasket. My car ran 15 peak boost and leveled off at 13, and was at 20 vac. before. Now that this is in ... I am running 13 peak boost and leveling at 11, and I am at 20 vac. at idle and 22 vac. driving down the road.

So you are saying the vacuum stayed about the same, but the boost dropped?
IDK if the IM temps could have dropped enough to affect boost pressure. To me that would be a stretch. Possibly it is sealing good enough from the outside pressure, but not internal pressure.
How are your o rings on the injectors? Possibly blowing by them?

No .. the vac did change ... but only under driving condition ... like this
Before
vac at idle - 20
vac driving - 20
Boost - 15 peak, 13 leveled out
Now
vac at idle - 20
vac driving - 22
Boost - 13 peak, 11 level out
Vac at idle is the only thing that didnt change. Injector o-rings are fine ... only about 3 months old. I dont have any leaks anywhere now ... no vac noises or anything (well ... other then my squeaky power steering pump when it rains). I just didnt know if the little extra spacing from a factory gasket to this (which is like 4 times thicker) would make any difference in pressure ... I know in theory it shouldnt ... but hey ... who the hell knows.

Do a boost leak test. You may have snagged a line on accident while installing the gasket, or you might have installed the gasket wrong.
Did the weather change recently? Remember that these cars change boost levels in order to compensate for changes in temp.
If no for both those questions: Reset your battery. It's possible you have some adaption variable stuck in the PCM from driving around with that leak.
Keep in mind the SRT PCM doesn't care what boost you hit, as long as it hits its desired torque number. It's possible with that leak that your turbo had to boost more to hit that desired number, but now with the leak fixed, it doesn't have to try as hard.

I cant win. I got my upper mount in, my tranny mount in, my booger bushings on the tranny side in, opened up my air box to check the filter and found out it is a K&N filter ... and it was quite dirty ... so I cleaned it. Put it all back together this morning ... and it was all good.
Took it up the road for a test drive and had no real problems. Other then the boost is running a little lower now then the other day. It peaked at 11 in 1st and 2nd ... then got to 15 in 3rd ... really wierd.
So after all that we went out for breakfast ... and leaving the diner ... the owner was outside and leaned over and motioned for me to light them up ... I was happy to oblige ... lol. Sounded great ... boosted nice in 1st ... and made him happy.
Went up the road and pulled into the atm and my CEL came on. So I checked it and got a P1188 code. REALLY ... after all this now Im getting an overboost code ... WTF

The stock PCM has a type of 'Boost By Gear' strategy built in (think desired torque like I mentioned before), so seeing 11psi in 1st and 2nd isn't that bad. As long as you're hitting 15 in 3rd, you should be fine.

P1188 isn't necessarily an overboost code, it's a TIP correlation code. Check to make sure you TIP sensor is hooked up. You probably knocked it loose when you cleaned the filter. Then, like I said before:
DO A BOOST LEAK TEST!!!!

It hit 11 in first and the temp was in the high 60's this morning ... car wasnt really warm either since we had just gotten done eating breakfast. I didnt push it into second gear ... since I was in the parking lot ... lol.

If the car wasn't up to operating temperature, it'll lower boost in order to not stress the motor.
