Okay, I've been researchin this forum and it looks like a lot of guys are putting on srt4 rims with the smaller tires. I prefer the larger srt4 tires. Do i need to do anything else other than add in srt4 springs and srt4 struts to be able to run srt4 factory spec wheels and tires to my 04 neon?

Nope.

It's the struts that are important. The spring perch accomadates those big 50 series tires.

Then allI have to do is change the struts?

Yep. SRT-4 struts will give you the clearance between the strut and the tire you need. Springs only affect the clearance between the body/fenderwell and the tire. So, if you're putting lowering springs on, you'll probably have rubbing issues with that big of a tire, mainly when you're turning at low speed. My 215/45's rub on the inside of the fender well when I turn all the way to lock.
If you are staying with you stock springs, and stock ride height, then yes, all you need are the SRT struts
OR if you're feeling creative, you can modify the spring perches on your
stock '04 struts to make them clear the tires. By modify, I mean, beat on with a big hammer, heat, bend, saw, grind......I'm not really sure what it takes. I really don't think its much though. Don't let all those verbs scare you. I was just being silly.

actually all those verbs are about right. the most ways ive heard of is either takinga malet to the perch or grinding part of it off. cheap way to get clearance but be careful because u might weaken the perch ot much.

but then you'll run into the issue of the speedo not being right.
a plasma cutter would probably be the best to chop a piece of the perch off...

I would not do the SRT-4 struts with stock springs though

Unless you want a 4X4 of a neon!
SRTforums.com often has all 4 springs and struts for around $150-200 shipped with low miles.
