ok i was gonna go witht the aem magnum intake for my r/t but now i am having 2nd thoughts and i now want the iceman, now what are the benefits of havin a plastic intake like the iceman as opposed to the aluminum aem, i have heard the iceman is louder but doesnt aluminum resonate much louder than plastic makin the aem louder, which one should i throw my money at?

iceman has poor fitment but the material is more heat resistant, and from what i gather it sits lower than the AEM

thats pretty much all it comes down to. if you want looks then go with AEM. if you dont mind a few minor flaws in exchange for a greater ability to block heat than go with iceman.

alot of people will tell you that AEM made ~1whp more over the ICE-MAN. thats all well and good when the car (and intake) are just coming into the operating temp range. but if you ever intend on attending any form of competition (whether it be auto-x, road rally, road racing, etc), stick with the ICEMAN because heat wont stick to it! i touched my AEM after one round of auto-x and it scalded my hand. my iceman however barely even felt luke-warm after getting off the highway from a ~130mph blast

i think the iceman intake is louder, but i had the bypass filter on the AEM so they may have had something to do with it

really? i thought the pipen on the aem would make it much loder just because platic doesnt resonate at all really, maybe i will just go with the aem and forget bout it and just do it

im an aem guy. so im gonna say aem over the iceman. looks great, fits great, and does wat it needs to

Agreed on the AEM. The brandname insurance (I feel better going with something I know) and they look, sound, and apparently (according to their tests) work better. 1hp gain? Sure, why not!

Iceman will get you more gains. just an FYI
