02 RT seats, question.

Post by Ramroid » Wed Jul 23, 2014 12:12 am

What are they worth? Mine are the Aries head pattern, black and in excellent shape. No tears, no wear, nothing. What would they be worth?

Reason im asking(forgive me), but there are a set of 08' tiburon seats in my local CL, and i love these seats. They're comfy, and they're the cloth GT seats with great side and hip bolsters. Wondering if i'd get my money back easily if i sold mine.

Maybe $100 for the pair? We are cheap bastids you know. And even then they don't always sell quickly.

Damn, I paid $150 for my R/T seats a few years ago. My stock base-model seats were hammered and I didn't want SRT seats.

There's a set in an '02 at a local yard. Can get fronts and rears for a touch over $50. They're in decent shape, might go pick them up on Friday.

I see them all the time at the junkyards here apparently alot of the 2000 Plymouth had the rams head seats. The trick is finding them before they get rained on

Yeah, wouldn't they have little sailboats on them instead?

I really wasn't trying to be a smart aleck, all I know is from the '02 Dodge that I had (Aries cloth). Was there a corresponding pattern for '00-'01 Plymouths?

Why make a specific cloth for a product line you are soon axing? It would be a pretty big expense.

About the only thing "Plymouth" I know of interior wise that distinguished them from the Dodges was the steering wheel badge. It wouldn't surprise me if they put Ram's Head cloth in the Chrysler neons too.

Having just "neon" on the dash made it pretty easy to avoid screw ups too. My Aunt's '91 Shadow had a Sundance dash plaque.

I figured as much. I guess that I was asking a rhetorical question.

I remember hearing about "Tempaz" vehicles (Ford Tempo and Mercury Topaz mixups). :tardbang:

Heh, and to think:

Stratus = Breeze = Cirrus
Caravan = Voyager = Town & Country

Back to the original topic. Please overpay for your R/T seats so I won't feel bad (although I do really like them and my car was in dire need of new seats - the base/SXT 2003+ seats are some of the worst I've seen).

I really liked the Aries cloth seats in my '02 SXT so I was extremely disappointed in the "bicycle shorts" material used for the upholstery in my "04 SXT. :roll:
