Coil pack terminals

What does it mean if one of the four terminals looks really dirty and almost corroded, but the other three look fine? Is it a loose fit, a poor fit, bad wire? Any input? Thanks.

You need a new coil pack. The wires are probably fine, and if the wire that had been on that terminal seems to snap on normally, and it doesn't feel any or much different than any of the other wire ends, the wire is fine. The discolored, corroded terminal is the obvious sign of a bum coil.

Damn, it's a brand new coil pack from the dealership! (warranty issue) I also got a p300 code this a.m. (multiple cylinder misfire) Could it be anything else, or you think I just got a bum coil? :x

Sounds definately like a bad coil pack. There is nothing else that I know of that would make one of the terminals look the way you described.....and you pretty much described to a "T" what a bad coil pack looks like. Like I said before though, inspect your wires for damage and make sure the ends look and feel normal. (check the metal on the inside, where the actual connection is made)

Sounds like its time to get MSD!! He He. The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I got the MSD coil and wires from MP. Only complaint I have is the color. Red is not my fav.
