Is there any difference between 2001 & 2002+ R/T model except for spoiler and dash?

The camshaft specs are different - 2001 R/T's and ACR's had a more aggressive cam.

To make up for the loss of the more aggressive 2001 R/T cam, the 2002 PCM has more timing / spark advance.

You said 02+, were you looking for the differences in 03-04 as well?

If 2002 is different from 2003+, so yes, I'd like to know the differences.

'03/'04 have the newer engine controller, and the crank sensor located on the front of the engine block near the stater. The crank is also changed due to the sensor relocation. Neither the PCM/wiring or bottom end of the engine is compatible with the '02 and older set up, using factory supplied parts.

Either the SKIM*, wiring and engine need to be swapped as a whole, or aftermarket engine management must be used.




*SKIM can be flashed to the PCM, if you can find a dealer that will do it, or have access to a DRB tool.


'02 to '04 cams are the same.
