Door sensor
Door sensor
So my door sensor for my front driver side door is not working properly. It gives me the door light by the odometer and the dome light stays on. Was wondering if anybody had this happen to them before, and if they know the fix.

so yeah I hav ethe same thing going on with the same dam switch, i dont think the 03+ have the same switch or else i would have bough tone from a wrecked srt or something... im guessing the first gens will have it and the 00-02..
so if i find and extra one ill let you know..
it bugs me cuz it would throw off my alarm by not going off when the drivers door is opened..

Probably get an aftermarket one cheap - try auto store after you do this -
Remove window crank, remove door panel, carefully remove the plastic, remove wire from pin, remove pin.
I am sure that it is fairly simple like that, then go to parts store, and look in the rycer section for door pins switches and match it up, or go to an audio store, they can do it to (local stereo/rycer shop).
I could be totally wrong, but most cars are simple in that they are all the same with this sort of set up. Why change something so simple and good? Good luck.
BTW - I am going to deep clean my car today (I love 75+ weather!) so if I get a chance, I will double check it for you.

mine didnt register at all. no dome light, no odo, no headlight on warning, nothing. so i swapped it out with the drivers side rear door until i can snag one from the junkyard.

I have replaced all mine on my 2000 ES. I had problems with two of them a few years ago. I got the replacements from Mopar and you can tell the difference in the replacements. The origionals are so thin and cheap. I think they fixed a common problem with the thicker replacements. It was a 5 minute replacement too, its real easy.
