If I'm not mistaken, the stock OEM plastic headlights are a lot more difficult to seperate than aftermarket headlights and run a higher risk of breaking something. I do know that you can buy 'racoon' headlamps, if that's what you're talking about doing. But, I'll let someone else chime in that's maybe done it or at least tried it before.

Ive always heard that stock OEM lights are harder to get apart than Aftermarket also. It takes higher heat to melt the seals, and then you run the risk of melting something important.

KRackstar did his headlights...but he might have had aftermarket ones that he made them out of

Piece of cake. Check my Domain for pics.

You have to bake them in the oven at like 350 degrees for I think 5-10 minutes. I cracked mine open with a butterknife and a flat screwdriver. Took a few turns in the oven because the factory glue sets pretty fast after you soften it in the oven. Take out the chrome surround, sand and then paint to your prefered color. I also took the clear shell and sanded with 600 all the way up to 2000 grit rubbing compound to clear up the foggieness. Make sure when you do sand that you sand the clear shell wet. A little bowl of water and soap and go to town, also make sure you have wet sanding paper, there's a specific kind for that. Then put everything carefully back together, after you remove all the factory glue, with some window sealer or silicone glue and your done. You'll notice when you wet sand that the clear looks even more foggy but trust me it clears up by the time you hit 2000 grit and be prepared for a good 4 hour operation on just the wet sanding. Overall it took 8 hours to do.
