Hehe, YES IT CAN.

I've heard rumors that later T350's had small tabs holding the diff pin in. Can anybody confirm that?

im like 70% positive that 03+ has the small tabs to prevent the diff pin from coming out.

NICE, that's what I wanted to see. One diff pin let go on me already at 34k. But there were no "diff saver" tabs in my transmission (plus, by the gauling on the pin, it looked like the person that had my car before me LOVED burnouts)

http://home.comcast.net/~jonnymopar/trans.html

My car is an 03, but it's a pretty early 03 (door says manufacture date: 7/26/02). I'm guessing my new trans has those tabs.

Hmm... maybe... maybe I'll go do a nice burnout.

i blew out a diff o my 03 too. my 03 is probably earlier then yours. but i got a junkyard tranny. dont know what year. but i can promise you those little tabs wont keep the diff together forever. if someone spots me a new tranny, il be more then happy to destroy mine, wiht those tabs, doing burnouts :)

edit:

i have pictures from the SECOND tranny that ive had to drop a diff pin. and sure enoght, its got that dumb tap holder. WORTHLESS.

Those tabs aren't meant to make the diff bullet-proof. They may keep the pin in place, but they won't stop your spiders from welding themselves to the pin doing a shitload of one-wheel burnouts.
