MOPAR CAI

Post by lolelectricbluesxt » Fri Mar 17, 2006 12:36 pm

I was wondering if anybody knew anything specific on MOPAR's CAI, shown here.

https://www.dodgeparts.com/product_info ... ts_id/1461
Mopar Performance Parts is pleased to introduce our new cold air induction kits. Designed to force cold outside air through a directional cone filter and funnel, these kits significantly improve horsepower and torque under varying atmospheric conditions. Kits include all mounting hardware and washable/reusable filter. Works with Manual or Automatic Transmisions.
It dos'nt really say anything specific about horsepower or torque gains.. other then in varying atmospheric conditions.

If nobody has purchased one of these, I may be willing to be the test subject.

^ thats what alot of companies do... they sell their product without a name. thats why some of the no-name stuff is actually quality stuff.

^^ nowadays most big companies hardly make anything themselves like that. THey just source other companies to do the hard work. Buy it in such large quantities they get it almost free and then can charge equal to or less then that manufacture and still turn profit.

Most of our stock wheels are made by Prime. The same company that sells wheels at Sears and Pep Boys.

I know that our exhausts are made by Borla
CAI's are made by either AEM or Iceman depending on the application.
All performance aftermarket exhaust products are made by Borla and the coilovers are made by KW
Stock suspension is made by either Koni or Tokico depending on the app and those few ACR's came with Dynamic suspension

The list goes on..........But that is called good business in the big sceeme of making money

It depends.....If you have an R/T then your Header is borla as well as exhaust pipeing

I believe all neons have exhaust pipeing from Borla

95-99 R/T's had Koni Struts adjustable

01-05 R/T's have performance Tokico struts

00-05 Base have base Tokico struts

2gn ACR have Dynamic struts

Aftermarket Mopar CAI's are mabe by Iceman and AEM
