starting/electrical probs

ok so i kept telling my mom to start my car but no drive it... so she dinit start it..(now who in thier right mind would wanna drive a neon lol) well its not starting but the starter is clicking so its not the starter... also the keyless entry dont work and it takes a sec or two for the lights and gauges to comon and the cd player doesnt work well it turns itself off and the gauges go crazy everyonce in awhile... and no codes except 1685 which is Skim Invalid Key whats that mean? and then tried it later and it had no codes....was working flawless before.. damn and i need this for work...

if it hasnt been started in a while its def the battery, just jump it and you'll be fine

Jump start the battery and also check the fuses. One may be bad. That will cause what you are talking about with the radio and such...Door chime......Look for the stereo fuse under the hood and then check the moon/sun roof fuse on the side panel.....but the main problem is new battery......also if it has sit for to long one of the cells may have dried up

Your battery is dead. Don't jump start it if you want to keep you battery for more then a few months. Trickle charge it instead

Check the IOD fuse in the Dist Center under the hood and check the fuses in the Dr side panel under the dash. If you do decide to jump start the car, make sure you dont go Battery to Battery...it will cause more problems....

If you go BAT 2 BAT you have a chance of spiking the PCM and blowing it. Connect the battery positive to positive, connect the negative from one battery to the chassis of the other. That way the chassis works as a type of a resistor to help prevent power surges or spikes
